Plants love light and fresh air. So in addition to adequate lighting, ventilation and deaeration play a crucial role in indoor grows.
A tube fan not only ensures the continuous removal of used air and the resulting supply of fresh air in the grow box. In addition, the performance of the fan also allows the humidity and temperature to be kept in the optimum range.
The exhaust air is cleaned of unwanted odors by means of a suitable activated carbon filter and conveyed outside.

Determine the right size of the fan

The decisive factor in the selection of the fan is the fan volume, or the possible air flow rate. Optimally, the fan should be able to completely exchange the air in the grow box once per minute, but at least every five minutes. If this does not succeed, the heat generated by the grow lamps can cause a heat buildup and damage the plants. In case of doubt, the fan should therefore rather be dimensioned a little larger.
Other important factors in the purchase of a fan are the connection diameter and, of course, the noise development during operation.
